A stranger asked questions about the Kachin boarding school in Myitkyina, the main ethnic Kachin city in Burma’s far north, to a local woman before the explosion in the school on November 13, killing 11 students and injuring 28, said residents.

Kachin pro-government leaders urge KIO to accept government olive branch
In an attempt at mediation, two Kachin pro-government leaders urged the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) through the public on Wednesday to accept the olive branch offered by the new Burmese government.
